Not all lifts are the same
A critical lift is one where failure would cause severe consequence: loss of life, major property damage, regulatory penalty, or prolonged operational shutdown. Examples include loads exceeding 75% of crane capacity, tandem operations, lifts near live electrical lines, confined space operations, and loads with a high cost-of-failure (turbogenerators, transformers, reactors).
Engineering analysis
Every critical lift begins with load calculation, soil bearing study, wind analysis, radius validation and rigging geometry. No assumptions.
Dedicated rigging supervision
Level II rigger or above leading the maneuver. Dedicated radio communication. Visual line-of-sight maintained with the operator at all times.
Pre-lift meeting
All personnel involved in the lift (operator, rigger, signalers, site supervisor) attend a pre-lift meeting where the plan, roles and stop criteria are reviewed.
Critical lift applications we handle
Transformer and power equipment lifts
Distribution and power transformers, turbogenerators, substation equipment. Approved engineering lift plans for utility operators.
Drilling rig components
Mast lowering and raising, substructure handling, workover support. Operations in tight operational windows with HSE-compliant documentation.
Industrial critical equipment
Heat exchangers, catalytic reactors, distillation columns, high-consequence vessels in refineries and petrochemical complexes.
Confined-space and urban lifts
High-complexity lifts in restricted access environments: corporate buildings, hospitals, urban retrofits with night-window operations.
What we deliver for every critical lift
The end-client HSE team should be able to approve the lift plan without rework. That’s the bar we set.
Engineering lift plan
Structural calculation, load percentage analysis, soil bearing study, rigging geometry, equipment configuration diagram.
Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
Step-by-step risk identification and mitigation. Signed by supervisor and all crew members before execution.
Equipment certifications
Current annual inspection certificate, rigging accessories with certification history, manufacturer load chart.
Personnel certifications
Operator credentials matched to crane type and capacity, rigger certification, industrial safety training current.
Trusted by operators and contractors across industries

Common questions from project teams
What qualifies as a critical lift?
A lift is critical when failure would have severe consequence. Industry common criteria: load exceeds 75% of crane capacity, tandem operation, proximity to live electrical lines, confined space, high-consequence cargo (turbogenerators, transformers, reactors) or operations in public zones.
Do you provide a lift plan before the operation?
Yes. Engineering lift plan is delivered before the operation begins and is part of the standard deliverable — not an extra. The plan is designed to be approved directly by the end-client HSE team.
What rigger qualifications do your teams carry?
Rigging supervision is performed by Level II rigger or above for critical lifts. For standard operations, Level I. All riggers carry current industrial safety certifications required by major operators.
Do you perform tandem lifts?
Yes. When single-crane capacity is insufficient, we plan and execute synchronized tandem operations with dedicated communication and approved procedures.
What documents do clients receive post-operation?
Signed completion record, photographic log of the operation, effective time report (operation, stand-by, weather), and any incidence report. This closes the documentary cycle for the client’s HSE file.
Do you meet international corporate standards?
Yes. Documentation and procedures meet international oil & gas corporate audit requirements. Regular work with major operators and international EPC contractors.
Have a critical lift that needs engineering-grade planning?
Technical site visit, certified lift plan within 24 hours and full HSE documentation package. Experience across Venezuelan refineries, power plants and high-consequence industrial operations.
